Klaudia Gawlas is a respected figure in international techno, known for her honest, powerful and uncompromising sound. The German DJ and producer stands for techno in its purest form — raw, emotional and deeply connected to the dancefloor. Her sets are intense and immersive, driven by relentless rhythms and a strong sense of musical storytelling. Rather than following trends, she remains focused on what truly matters: authentic techno and real connection.
Music has always been part of her life. She began with classical instruments such as keyboard and guitar before experimenting with electronic sounds on a Commodore 64. A formative exchange year in the United States marked a turning point, where she discovered DJing through hip hop culture and learned the foundations of turntablism.
Back in Europe, techno became her true musical language. Starting out on vinyl, she developed a strong technical base and a deep understanding of groove, tension and timing — elements that continue to define her performances today.
Breakthrough releases such as “Papillon” helped establish her reputation on an international level and led to performances on some of the world’s most influential stages. Over the years, she has played aTime Warp, Mayday, Nature One, Awakenings, and many other major festivals and clubs.
Her consistency and artistic integrity have earned long-term respect within the scene. In 2024, she was awarded “Best International DJ” by FAZEmag, highlighting her continued relevance in contemporary techno culture.
Beyond touring, the artist runs Illusion Recordings, her own label and creative platform. The project reflects her clear artistic vision: techno without compromise, driven by freedom, quality and respect for underground culture.
For her, techno is more than music. It represents openness, tolerance and a shared sense of community — values that come alive on the dancefloor.
Away from the stage, she finds balance in nature and her love for animals, grounding influences that resonate in the honesty of her sound. She avoids loud self-promotion, allowing her work and long-standing career to speak for themselves.
Klaudia Gawlas remains a defining name in German techno and a constant presence on international line-ups.
