John Monkman continues to shape the landscape of melodic and forward thinking electronic music. Following a defining 2025, with Jungle hitting number one on Beatport via Anjunadeep, Colours on Crosstown Rebels receiving BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong, and a standout performance at Ibiza’s 528 alongside Maceo Plex and Monolink, Monkman has continued to build momentum at the highest level.
In 2026, he builds on that momentum with his recent release Signal on Australian label Vapour, arriving in close alignment with his appearance at Rainbow Spirit Festival. The track reflects a more instinct driven and focused approach, capturing the deeper and more immersive energy that defines his current sound.
Following releases such as DAZED on Beesemyer Music, hypnotic, focused and built for deep immersion on the floor, Monkman continues to refine a sound centred on emotional depth and rhythmic precision. Alongside Pumpui, these records have become festival season staples, reinforcing his reputation for creating emotionally charged, rhythm led productions that resonate far beyond the dancefloor.
Affiliated with some of the most respected labels in electronic music, including Kompakt, Ellum, Beesemyer Music, Siamese and Anjunadeep, Monkman delivered the spellbinding track Siren for Kompakt and collaborated with Pete Tong on Ecstasis for Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio. His releases, such as the Komplex EP on Anjunadeep and the Tune In Turn On EP for Ellum, highlight his range. With two Beatport number ones, his remix of Solomon Grey’s Twilight and his single Don’t Have to Be Beautiful, Monkman has further cemented his influence on the global electronic music scene.
Equally compelling is Monkman’s remix portfolio. His remix of U Love for Sasha’s LNOE 100th release, supported by Patrice Bäumel and Sasha, showcases his versatility. His rework of Space Date by Adam Beyer and Green Velvet for Drumcode demonstrates the respect he commands within the industry. Monkman has also been remixed by Moby. In 2023, he reunited with Pete Tong for an official remix of Duran Duran’s Give It Up, marking another standout moment in his career.
On stage, John Monkman’s performances have become synonymous with depth, control and narrative driven energy. From headlining Rainbow Serpent and the UK’s Noisily Festival to appearances at Ozora and Anjunadeep Festival, his sets continue to resonate with audiences worldwide. His recent appearance at Rainbow Spirit Festival reflects his current phase, where releases, timing and performance are more closely aligned.
The debut of John Monkman Live at Coachella with The DoLab marked a turning point, revealing a more expansive and boundary pushing approach to performance. In 2024, his Pulse show with Collectif Scale premiered in Paris, combining kinetic light art with immersive sound design. The same year saw releases including Khord on Anjunadeep and Vader, Roller Vox and MAYA on Beesemyer Music, underscoring his evolution as one of electronic music’s more forward thinking artists.
