Husa & Zeyada Launch ‘Soundscool’: A New Global Electronic Music Label Fusing Creativity and Experimentation

The electronic music scene in MENA is experiencing a true revolution. This is thanks to the launch of Soundscool, the new record label by Egyptian producers Husa & Zeyada. The duo is known for their innovative approach and their ability to blend electronic sounds with Arabic influences. With Soundscool, they are ready to change the rules of the game. This new platform will focus not only on releasing music but also on creating a creative community for artists.

A Creative School for Musical Innovation

Soundscool is much more than a traditional music label. According to Husa & Zeyada, the main goal of the label is to provide a space for artists to learn and experiment. They are inspired by the idea that music is a continuous learning process. Therefore, the duo designed Soundscool as a creative lab where ideas flow, and artists can break free from musical conventions.

The studio is located in Dahab, at the foot of the Sinai mountains. It’s a place that fosters artistic collaboration. Additionally, this physical space reflects Husa & Zeyada’s laid-back lifestyle. Moreover, the label encourages the creation of music that combines sound and visual art.

The first release from Soundscool will be the Are We Alive EP. This personal project reflects Husa & Zeyada’s creative journey during the COVID-19 pandemic. The EP includes remixes by two renowned producers: Fulltone, a leading figure in Egypt’s electronic scene, and Montreal-based DJ/producer Sinca. With this debut, Soundscool introduces a new way to experience Arabic music on dance floors. In addition, the duo decided to blend more innovative and non-traditional elements.

The title track, Are We Alive, was written during a period of introspection. It was influenced by global artists like The Strokes and Dope Lemon. Furthermore, their use of bass, which they call “Jimmy,” marks a new phase in the duo’s sound.

A New Vision for Arabic Electronic Music

With Soundscool, Husa & Zeyada aim to redefine how electronic music is perceived in the MENA region. While the label will cover genres such as indie dance, deep house, and progressive house, they will always push the boundaries of these styles. Moreover, they plan to merge these genres with Arabic influences to create a fresh and distinctive sound.

The label will also focus on supporting emerging artists, both from the region and globally. As a result, Soundscool positions itself as a global platform to give visibility to these talents. Its goal is to combine Arabic voices with contemporary electronic music.

An Artistic and Collaborative Community

Soundscool is not just a record label. It is also a collaborative space where artists can explore new ideas and work on innovative projects. The studio in Dahab is a place where musicians can interact, experiment, and learn from each other.

Where to Listen and What to Expect Next

The Are We Alive EP will be available soon on platforms like Spotify, where fans can dive into the unique sound Husa & Zeyada have created. With a clear vision of breaking barriers, Soundscool promises to be one of the most exciting platforms in the electronic music scene in 2024.
